What is the C.C.S.C ?
The CCSC belongs to the category of current accounts functioning in both creditor and debtor positions; with the difference that it does not grant any cheque book.
Who is concerned ?
The principal targets are :
- Employees with modest incomes (generally ranging between 50 000 FCFA and 150 000 FCFA),
- Traders who generally do not have a trade register,
- Artisans,
- Young people .
Which are the contraints and the advantages of the CCSC ?
- For employees,
In the past, salary earners could receive their wages on a savings account.
Former constraints related to the savings account :
- Minimum balance of 25 000 FCFA,
- No possibility of having overdraft of the "Advances on wages" type.
Former advantages related to the savings account :
- No bank charges,
- Interest earnings for people who managed to save.
With the CCSC,
Current constraints :
- No interest earnings,
- Account keeping charges of 2 500 CFA Tax lncl/month.
Current advantages
:
- No minimum balance required
- Possibility of obtaining Advance on wages
- Possibility of subscribing to PEL or to CREDIT EXPRESS.
- For the traders and artisants
With the CCSC,
Current constraints :
- No interest earnings
- Account keeping charges of 2 500 CFA/month
Current advantages :
- No minimum balance required
- Possibility of credit facilities: Overdraft
- Possibility of upgrading the customer to a higher category of accont if this is jutified by his/her activity ( and thus possibility of obtaining a cheque book)
How to open a CCSC?
- Employees
- ID card/ Passport/ Consular identity card. These documents must mention mother name,
- Last 3 pay Bolls,
- Last water or electricity bill mentioning applicant name or address certificate +,
- 2 passport photographs,
- Initial deposit for wage domiciliation,
- Photocopy of employement certificate.
- Traders and Artisants
- Attestation d’immatriculation pour l’Occupation du Domaine Publique (ODP),
- Of organization membership card,
- ID card/ Passport/ Consular ID card. These documens must mention mother name,
- Last water or electricity bill mentioning applicant name or address certificate + ,
- 2 passport photographs,
- Initial deposit 50 000 CFA.
